mbox-mcp is an MCP server that lets you search local email archives (.mbox and .eml files) entirely on your machine, with no OAuth or cloud involved. It exposes three tools — open_archive, search_messages, and get_message — over stdio, and is designed to lazily read the minimum needed to handle multi-gigabyte exports like Google Takeout mboxes with 100k+ messages.
