Using BigHugger means you accept these terms. If you are using it for an employer, you are confirming you may agree on their behalf. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple: do not use the service.
Access is invite-only right now, so an account exists because we created it. Keep your password and your API keys to yourself; anything done with your credentials is treated as done by you, and telling us quickly is what limits the damage if they leak.
One account is one person. Sharing a login is the one thing here that will get an account switched off without much of a conversation, because it breaks the rate limits everyone else is sharing.
Scrape the index wholesale, resell the results as your own dataset, work around the rate limits, or use the API to build a directly competing index. Also the obvious ones: nothing illegal, nothing that attacks the service, and no attempts to reach other people’s data.
Automated use through the documented API is expected and fine. That is what it is for.
Your questions, your threads and your workbooks are yours. We hold them so the product works and we claim no ownership of them.
What we index belongs to whoever published it. Model cards, papers, repositories and registry entries carry their own licences, and a result here is a pointer to the source rather than a grant of any right to it. Check the licence before you use a model; we show it precisely so you can.
Answers are generated by a language model over search results, and language models get things wrong. Every claim we show carries the source it came from so you can check it, and you should check it before anything important depends on it.
Nothing here is legal, financial or professional advice, including anything a model says about a licence.
Paid plans bill in advance through our payment processor, renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period. If something has genuinely gone wrong, write to legal@bighugger.com and we will sort it out rather than hide behind this paragraph.
We have not promised you an uptime figure and this is not the place we would quietly bury one. The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that the index is complete, or that any particular result is correct.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. If you paid us nothing, that cap is nothing. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, because no contract can.
You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and except in an emergency we will tell you why first. Export your threads and workbooks from Settings before you go, because deletion is real.
We will post material changes here and email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, and its courts have jurisdiction, which does not take away any consumer protection you have where you live.
