opencli-adapter-author

Use when writing an OpenCLI adapter for a new site or adding a new command to an existing site. Guides end-to-end from first recon through field decoding, adapter coding, and verify. Replaces opencli-oneshot / opencli-explorer. For ad-hoc browser driving (no adapter), see opencli-browser instead; for a top-level orientation to opencli, see opencli-usage.

opencli-adapter-author is an agent skill (SKILL.md) that guides an AI coding agent through writing an OpenCLI adapter for a new site or adding a command to an existing one. It covers the full pipeline from recon and strategy selection through field decoding, adapter coding, and verification with `opencli browser verify`, bundling reference docs on strategy selection and typed errors.

It replaces the older opencli-oneshot/opencli-explorer skills with a step-by-step runbook, decision tree, and fallback paths so adapter work is systematic rather than guesswork.

Use it to

  • Write an OpenCLI adapter for a new site
  • Add a new command to an existing site adapter
  • Follow the field-decode playbook when decoding fields stalls
  • Run `opencli browser verify` to validate an adapter
  • Recon an API endpoint via interception when discovery fails
