Windows-MCP is an MCP server that lets MCP clients control a Windows machine: clicking, scrolling, moving the cursor, sending shortcuts, opening apps, running PowerShell, and working with the filesystem, clipboard, registry, and processes. It runs locally over stdio and supports Windows 7 through Windows 11.
It gives an MCP client a broad set of native Windows automation tools without custom scripting.
Use it to
- Automate Windows UI interactions via Click, Scroll, and Shortcut tools
- Run PowerShell commands and manage processes from an MCP client
- Edit files and read the filesystem or Windows registry
- Open apps, send notifications, and use the clipboard
- Enable authenticated remote access with TLS and OAuth
