Another year gone by,

It feels like time sure does fly.

Finally the year 2011 has come to an end,

I certainly hope it was godsend.

I want to wish you a happy new year,

As always, do celebrate it with the ones you hold dear.

May the new year bring a lot more joy and prosperity,

This I say with the utmost sincerity.

I said it before I’ll say it again,

Don’t bottle up anything, you know I’m always there for you, just tell me when.

You think you had a bad day,

But here’s what I have to say.

Today’s experiment failed,

But that ship has sailed.

Tomorrow is a new chapter,

Hopefully you’ll look back today in laughter.

Every scientist has their up and down,

There’s no point being stuck with a frown.

You will eventually shine,

Trust me everything will be fine.

I know you have a time crunch,

But without one, you might get complacent, that’s just my hunch.

Do what you can and do it to your best,

Nobody can say that you left it to the rest.

When the times come to haunt ya,

Know that nothing can hurt ya,

Because in some way or the other I’m always there to support ya.

You are a little crazy,

But for some reason you always come across as a daisy,

And when people get to know you things become less hazy.

Right now I can’t imagine what you are going through,

But relax and look inside you,

Because soon you’ll be sipping on some hot fresh brew.

I’m sorry your not happy at this moment,

It sucks you have to go through this torment.

Remember that it’s only momentary ,

It could be like a writer’s block, its only temporary.

To recap, you had choco-chip muffins,

I saw the picture, and I needed to do some stuffin.

I have no idea why I wrote this story,

For now it remains a mystery.

Enjoy it or criticise it,

Do as you wish, metaphorically speaking now it’s your dish.

You’re the epitome of creativity,

The happiness you bring can last a longevity.

I’ve been listening to you for a long time,

The thought of you as a profession was always a soothing chime.

But mainstream would not allow it,

I had to be born at a time when what you did and how much you made were the only things that people would accredit.

It’s fucking frustrating, because when I look at musicians,

Nobody can compete in terms of passion, even though more money is made by physicians.

I’m glad I’ve starting tapping into my creative side,

Because when I feel like I can’t go any further, you vitalize me to stroll through life’s crazy ride.

Unfortunately, I was assigned the drums, which being quite immobile was hard to continue once I left my home,

It sucks, because right now if I was given 15 minutes with my darling wine red baby, I know I would be more at peace than a meditating monk in a deserted dome.

It’s funny how it works, when I’m listening to you, it feels like my thought process is actually clearer,

Or am I just being fooled into thinking so, and eventually become the pain bearer.

I think I’m just analyzing it a bit too much,

Because I certainly feel refreshed and confident, definitely a positive touch.

I don’t know what will become of tomorrow, and I certainly don’t feel like I have a complete control of it,

So I’m praying that listening to you and sticking headstrong to my beliefs, that you will guide me to the end of the tunnel that’s lit.
